Mangalore, Apr 29: The personnel of Kerala State Armed Reserve Police, who had been arrested for misbehaving with others and creating a scene at Panambur Beach on Saturday April 25, and were remanded to judicial custody thereafter, have succeeded in getting bail. They secured bail from the second court of the Junior Magistrate (First Class) here on Tuesday April 28 and got released from incarceration.

They were released on the condition that they should present themselves whenever requisitioned by investigating officers to help investigations and that they should not create any problems for the eye witnesses. All the 11 accused were released on a personal bond of Rs 5,000 each by judge K S Vijaya.

It may be recalled, that a few members of the Kerala police contingent that had been deputed to attend to election duty at Bantwal, had arrived at Panambur Beach on Saturday evening, where they allegedly misbehaved and assaulted some members of the general public and the policemen of Panambur police station.

In the meantime, Kerala Inspector General of Police Krishnamurthy arrived in the city on Tuesday and inspected the spot in Panambur beach where the policemen allegedly got into trouble.

A step in the right direction for the kerala Police chief has to suspend them pending investigation and if found guilty should be dismissed from the police force. We are better off without such personnel.

Good work Karnataka Police for keeping them behind bars, though for few days. I understand that since they too were police you could not do much about them. We can see their arrogance in the photographs. Hope Karnataka police take this instance as a eye-opener and develop their behavior towards civilians.

To a very great extent  I endorse Latha Naik''s statement. Why only police men. What about our politicians, Ministers, Chief Minsiter in States and leaders at the National level. What about goverment servants who has power and approve documents. Their way of life itself is proof of their characters. Living in soicety we have no choice, as police department is essential for law and order.

Police themselves are a public nuisance. They should be eradicated completely. They are drunkards, womanisers, thieves, bribe takers - name any wicked deeds - they are involved. Many of these RSVP policemen have taken advantage of the nearby shanty women and have fathered children. From the senior to the lowest rank - they are all birds of the same feather.
