This message is too all those who have commented on my comments. In Kannada there is old proverb, ''Iddadannu Iddahage Helidare, Edaddu bandu oddannu''. So do this has come true in this comment list. I would like to clear some stands. 1). I had not mentioned any particular name of organisations or any persons in the comments, as I my intention was just to tell the fact & not to talk on any organisation behalf. 2). I had not condemened or blamed any person for or pro the incident. 3). I had just mentioned what I had seen in the spot & nothing more.

4). Had not those people come voluntarily to rescue, more casualties would had occured. 5). The basic fault is not with posting comment, but with inablity of commentrators to recognise the truth, or just shows their pesimestic outlook. 6). By just mentioning the good deeds of people, if someone gets offended & remarks as cheep drama, then there would be no need for giving the true message in this comment article.

Above all who recognises the true message ? Anyway God knows the truth of the incident & I am quite confident of what I have done & I don''t expect any praise from such foolish commentators.

Mr.Kumar (Mangalore/Mumbai), i believe you are a very narrow minded person. why you should specify the religion whoever helped..yes of course we all appreciate their work of helping the injured people. In our routine life we also give and take help from others who belongs to different religion.

Hey Kumar (Mangalore/Mumbai), I appreciate you are proud of your Hindu brothers but why do you have to mention it in such a manner in your message. Is it really necessary or are you trying to prove something. I think humanity knows no relegion, if it did then we would all be living like animals. Please watch what you speak, you may have written it unintentionally too but if this was intentional, then its very cheap of you to be so relegion specific.

This was really a very sad incident on the weekends..... I had visited the spot also the hospital. may god give all the strength to the injured also the family members of the expired, dhrmapal and geetha.may their soul rest in peace. i had also spoken to geethas mother in law, I couldn control myself when she told me that geethas daughter is in ICU and that she is asking for her mom. I really felt very sad when Ii heard this thing from that old women. also spoke to 2 other women who are hurt in the accident.

I came to know that this accident just took place due to the rash and over speeding drive. The driver, Dharmapal was also warned by one of the woman for this over speed. But fate was very ill for all these. but really good that this accident just ended up in just 2 deaths.

May god give all their family members the strength to bare the loss. May their soul rest in peace and all the rest, Get Well Soon.

Cars in Mangalore have become a fad and a status symbol than a necessity. There are more cars on the roads than the roads itself can accommodate. More flashy cars and the size matters. Each car is bigger than the other one (ek se bhadkar ek) . In high spirits these are driven as if the occupants are on cloud 9. Dangerous and ill planned roads have only compounded to the problem of heavy traffic and accidents.

Little do people realize that with the increase in the number of car owners there are more fatal accidents, families and relatives in mourning, heart ailments, BP, hypertension, than ever seen before. An hours wait at any prominent hospital "casualty" section will give you proof of this. To top it the environment around us has been polluted beyond bearable levels.

Good old cycles that gave us health and clean environment are history. Outside noise is unbearable so the ears are plugged. Outside heat, dust and pollution are unbearable so people confine to their AC cars with dark windows. There is no time for the telephone as mobiles are held in one hand ( or neck and shoulder combination ) and the other hand does the driving. We Indians seldom learn lessons till tragedy comes knocking at our own door steps.

Kumar, I appreciate your comments please don’t mention HINDU organizations, humanity has no religion, caste or creed. I believe that in Mangaloreans (even though Mangalore is considered as communal sensitive) humanity and kindness still exists. Please keep the religion aside and let us think of humanity. Religion is an individual choice let us work for national integration as Indians.

It is very sad news to see in the Newspaper today(monday)that total two have died. I still remember the horrifying moment yesterday, when the injured were lifted & carried in a jeep, 2-3 cars, 2 rikshaws. Indeed good humanity work also by those vehicle owners who came voluntarily to move the injured ones. I really appreciate their work as they had come forward openly. I wish such humanity & kindness exist always !

Guys why are we cribbing on our Road safety authorities ,the POLICE or the Ambulance services when we all know that what is expected from who ever is in government services.First of all its our own duty to drive safe, for ourselves and for the safety of others on the road.Knowing how bad the road conditions are we ourselves are inviting trouble now and then. Guys please keep reminding all you know to drive safely.

Being here on a short break I am not sure what means of transportation to take as every one seems to relying on almighty as the way the buses, trucks, cars, Autos are flying its terrible. Time for a serious regulations on vehicle owners for a serious orientation on safe driving and the govt should build a two lane highway given the large traffic these roads already have.

This spot at yekkur is always an accident zone, and the major and prime reason for this is our local buses, they stop their busses in the middle of the road showing that they are the only road tax payers nd our traffic police will never put a fine on them for any type of negligence because they get thier mamul every month, but these days the culprit for the traffic police is a two wheeler rider without helmet, they think they are catching a murderer, but close their eyes for major law breakers especially our local buses.  Kindly train them to park their buses to the extreme left, secondly such a pathetic suitation that the ambulance and policel personal had been there only after the locals had admitted the injured to the hospital, such fast is our emergency systems may be ambulance or fire service god pls fill some iq and sense of responsibility in the minds of these 4 people

Boon to one section, Police! After all Court formalities, when the vehicles are to be released to the owners, hefty amounts are extracted by the Police staff. Not less than Rs.5000 by the Inspector and in thousands by other policemen.

The curve on this stretch is indeed dangerous ...though now its better than what it was a few years ago... Here ...the truck looks on the correct side of the road..looks like the car like was overtaking another vehicle on the curve .... and as usual...it must have been the truck driver from the other state that must have been in trouble!!

RTO in India need a total restructuring to the International Standard. The tragedy is that our drivers don''t know how to Drive Rightly, how to Overtake, when to apply Hand Brake, when to apply Hazard Light, when to Honk, how & when to apply the Indicator Lights, in which carriageway the vehicle should move during Slow-speed, High-speed & at the time of Over-taking.

The public carrier vehicles break all the rules & they drive to kill. In Mysore-Bangalore or any other Standard Highways, the slow moving Heavy Vehicles occupies the First Carriageway which is meant for either Over-taking or Speed Driving. The speeding cars overtake those slow moving vehicles from the wrong side which is very dangerous.

They put the Right Indicator Light signaling the back vehicle to Overtake which is actually meant to say that they are turning to the Right Side. Unfortunately the RTO is least bothered to correct those Fundamental Faults in our ignorant drivers.

When the accident occured around 1-30pm in Yekkur, I was in a vehicle 200 mtrs. behind in the row & within minutes I was able to the reach the place. The car was damaged & the road was blocked, & most of travellers on car where women & child, & all of them where unconsiouss & bleeding in head. I really appreciate the hindu organisation people over there for their instant help.

I saw many of their youths helping out all the injured to nearby rikshaw, car & jeep, & sending them to hospitals. The unlucky was the driver who was stuck in the car & those nearby youths struggled hard to help him. I thought most of them to be seriously injured, but later came to know that the driver was dead on spot. I appreciate all those hindu organisation youths for their sincere & timely help, & let god bless all of them.

Drivers are driving their cars as if it is a racing track. Very scary to see how they drive recklessly . All 4 wheel vehicle drivers are in a tearing hurry as if there is no time and in doing so, they meet their ends. Very sad. And 2 wheel vehicle drivers, just DO NOT follow rules, they drive wrong side of the road, cut across without warning, stop whenever they want without indication and with one hand on mobile phone, they drive !!! how can they survive ?? if they are not having basic care of themselves and others ?? Please vehicle drivers, follow simple rules and all will go well for yourselves and your dear and near families.

Once again the destruction of family life with small car and a truck. Can any lesson be heard in Mnagalore? How many families would have die before some road controls and better built cars become available in India? Our heartfelt condolences to family who suffered the loss and injuries. Let young people stop buying and travelling on nao cars. They are unsafe.
