Tumakuru, Oct 28: In a tragic incident which happened in Pattanayakanahalli in Sira taluk of the district on Sunday October 27, two children who were playing, drowned in the standing water of an embankment.
The deceased were Salman (10) and Maruti (11), residents of Kamagondanahalli village. Both the children drowned in the water standing in an embankment behind government hospital of Pattanayakanahalli.
Both had gone near the embankment to play. It is suspected that when playing in the water near the edge of the embankment, they would have slipped and fallen into the water. As no one seen them falling, the children could not be rescued, it is sated.
A case was registered in Pattanayakanahalli police station limits.
