Ballari, Oct 29: Three died and three others sustained grievous injuries in an accident which happened at Babayya Cross in Sandur taluk in the district. The accident happened at 7 am on Monday October 28 between a jeep and a lorry.
The victims have been identified as Bussi (21) from Yashwantpur in Sandur taluk, Dada Qalandar (31), and Aslam (25). Parashuram and Mansoor, who suffered serious injuries, stand shifted to Vijayanagara Institute of Medical Scienes at Ballari. Irfan, whose nature of injuries was minor, was provided treatment in the government hospital at Sandur.
The victims were going to Jindal Steel Factory at Toranagal from Yashwantnagar, when this accident happened. A case in this regard was registered at Sandur police station.
