Mysuru: Corporation health inspector complains of having been assaulted on duty

Mysuru, Oct 30: In an incident which happened in ward No. 26 of the city corporation here, a person working in a shop attacked a health inspector, who had warned against using banned plastic cups and carry bags. The incident happened on Tuesday, October 29.

The health inspector in question, Ashwath, was at the receiving end of this hostility. Ashwath had visited a shop in ward No. 26 at 6.30 am and began to seize plastic cups, glasses, and carry bags from the shop. In his complaint to the police, Ashwath said that he was obstructed from discharging his duties and assaulted by an employee of the shop identified as Saifulla Khan.
