Bantwal, Feb 29: Samvidhana Samrakshana Samiti, here held simultaneous candlelight protests in Farangipete, Tumbe, Kaikamba, Kalladka, Ammunje and Sajipa condemning the killings and destruction of property setting fire to houses and religious centers in Delhi.
The protesters shouted slogans holding placards and banners saying that the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act will only be intensified.
They urged for arrests and legal action against all the suspects and protection to Delhi residents.
Various Muslim religious leaders, locals and others were present. Autorickshaw drivers and owners association president, S K Basheer participated in the protests held at Sajipa.
