Mangaluru: MLA D Vedavyas Kamath lays foundation for Rs 50 lac worth works

Mangaluru, Mar 6: MLA D Vedavyas Kamath laid the foundation stone for road development at the Maroli ward within Mangaluru corporation limits.

He said that an amount of Rs 50 lac is provided to develop the road in front of Karnataka Bank near Pumpwell in response to the requests from the people.

“The road is completely damaged and the local activists had brought it to my notice. Therefore, officials were sent to check the situation and the amount is released,” he said.

“It will be convenient for locals if the road to Pampumane is developed. The work will begin soon and the cooperation of the local people is required,” he said.

“Mangaluru south Vidhan Sabha constituency is progressing at a rapid space. The state government too has released special grants to Mangaluru Corporation. Special emphasis is laid to develop the necessities. The special grant released by the state government will be utilized for different development works,” he said.

Local corporator Keshava Maroli, BJP leaders Vasanth J Poojary, Kiran Maroli, Jagadish Shenoy, Prashanth Maroli, Jagannath Doddamane, Purushotham Suvarna, Malati, Sarala, Shobha Shetty, Hemalatha Nisarga, Raghu and Suryanarayana temple heads Balakrishna Kothari, local leaders Ranjith Balakrishna Suvarna, Sushanth, Naveen, Narayana Vayilaya, Rama Prasad, Sathish, Yogish Rao and others were present.
