Udupi: Leopard gets electrocuted near Vaddarse

Udupi, Mar 10: A leopard came in contact with live wire near Kottady within the limits of Vaddarse gram panchayat on Monday March 9, and lost its life.

After the locals who saw the dead leopard informed them, forest officials led by deputy range forest officer, Jeevandas Shetty, visited the spot. He got the body of the animal checked through veterinary officials after which inquest was conducted and the body was disposed off.

Veterinary officer Dr Pradeep Kumar Shetty, and Akshata, Shivappa Nayak and Suresh of forest department were present.
