Bengaluru: CM inaugurates 200th birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale

Bengaluru, May 12: Chief minister, B S Yediyurappa inaugurated the 200th birth anniversary of Miss Florence Nightingale and International Nurses Day at his home Office of Krishna in the city on Tuesday.

The function was organized by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.

Speaking on the occasion, Yediyurappa lauded the selfless services of nurses in the care of patients and the medical profession.

The chief minister also interacted with health workers engaged in serving the COVID-19 patients abroad.

Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Vice-Chancellor, Dr Sacchidanda and Health and Family Welfare Department Additional Principal Secretary, Javed Akhtar were also present.
