Karnataka AYUSH department releases herbal concoction to strengthen body's resistance

Bengaluru, May 13: The state AYUSH department has released a herbal concoction (Kashaya) that reportedly fortifies the body's resistance power against diseases and helps in fight against coronavirus.

It was released at the COVID-19 bulletin press meet regularly held by education minister S Suresh Kumar on Tuesday. The minister said that the preparation has been made as per the guidance of the central government. He also revealed that this preparation would be provided free of cost. Director in AYUSH department Meenakshi Negi stated that preference would be given to those undergoing quarantine. The name of the concoction is Joshand.

Kumar also revealed that the department has brought out a liquid named Ark-e-Ajeeb. Drops of this medicine should be put on tissue paper or kerchief, and its aroma should be taken into the lungs now and then. The drops can be added to boiling water, and steam thereof can be inhaled. This also helps in strengthening the resistance power against diseases, he stated.
