Kundapur, May 13: The district administration made room for public transport in district level. Private buses and government buses began their journey from the taluk center and district center on Wednesday. But people refused to travel in them perhaps due to lack of information or fear of coronavirus.

Six buses belonging to Bharati Company got down to the road soon after Kundapur to Udupi traffic was enabled. But bus conductors were anxious that passengers did not get into them even after waiting for a long time.

Buses are running at a loss as passengers are not prepared to board them. Buses are following all the regulations laid down by the district administration. Government buses too did not get a positive response. The conductors provided masks to the few passengers who entered without masks. They were also given sanitizers. But the response of the people in the private buses disappointed the owners.
