Puttur: Man accused of tampering with doctor's message gets bail

Puttur, May 16: The court here granted interim bail to a person accused of tampering with a message forwarded by a doctor and sharing the same on Facebook, which attracted the ire of certain people resulting in the doctor getting death threat.

A complaint in this connection had been registered in the town police station here as per the instructions of the court. The doctor in question reportedly got threat call from abroad, as he was accused of insulting a community.

Dr Suresh had forwarded a message he received on social media. A person named Raviprasad Shetty Bannur had made amends in this message and shared the same on his Facebook page. A case in this connection was registered in the town station. Raviprasad Shetty had approached the court through his lawyer for bail. Puttur senior civil court granted interim bail to the accused on Friday.
