Udupli, Jun 17: Prakash Ganiga (55), a resident of Achchada in Katapady village, hanged himself in the early hours of Tuesday June 16.
Prakash lived with his wife and children. Since a year, he suffered from health issues like high blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol and heart-related problems. He was also a heavy drunkard.
Due to these problems, Prakash Ganiga slipped into depression and committed suicide at his home. A case relating to this incident was registered at the town police station here.
