Mangaluru, Jun 17: On 11th and 12th June 2020, Snehasadan-Gurpur and CODP®, here, on June 11 and 12 organized a COVID-19 relief food-kit distribution for 200 SHG and local families of Bajpe, Moodbidri, Pakshikere, Talapady, Vorkady, Kumbla, Kayyar and Mangaluru.
The food kits were supported by Camillian Task Force India and Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation.
Before distribution of the kits, as part of the COVID-19 relief activities, the staff of CODP enlightened the beneficiaries on the importance of adopting preventive measures wearing mask while in public places, washing/sanitizing hands frequently and maintaining social distance as far as possible. The families were informed that these basic preventive measures, if followed, would help in containing the spread of this deadly virus.
