Beltangady: Four held for murder attempt projected as accident

Beltangady, Jul 18: Relating to a deal, it is said, a murder attempt was made on a man. Reportedly, the murder attempt was executed in such a way to make it look like an accident. The police who saw through the motive, arrested four persons who have been named as accused, and produced them in the court.

The accused in this incident are Nandigunda Pradeep C G, Varun Bandamaru, Abhi and Kishore. Three persons except Abhi were partners in a granite business managed by Nandeesh H N from Shanivarasanthe in Kodagu district. With the purpose of killing Nandeesh, Varun and Kishore joined hands and caused an accident on June 8 morning near Kulal Mandir in Guruvauyanakere by recklessly driving a car. Nandeesh had suffered injuries to his head and limbs. The car used for the accident was reportedly dismantled in order to destroy evidence through one of the accused, Abhi.

On the basis of a complaint filed by Nandeesh at the traffic police station here, the accused were arrested. The four accused were subjected to corona test and out of them, infection was confirmed among three.
