Udupi, Jul 18: Young men and women belonging to Aghoreshwara Kalaranga, Chitrapadi holding a cultural and social concern have extended a helping hand to the families distressed during the lockdown. They ploughed barren fields, grew paddy in them and donated it to several orphanages in the district in the last seven years.

They donated ten quintal rice to the orphanages the previous time. They also collected contributions from their members and donated grocery kits to more than 100 poor families.

It is commendable that realizing the need for a crematorium in the vicinity, they stood to fulfill their dream of a crematorium with the government’s grant and donations.
