Beltangady, Jul 26: Sub-inspector Nandakumar M M and personnel of his station raided a gambling den at Kannadikatte of Padangadi village of the taluk and arrested five people who were playing Jugari (a kind of gambling game) on July 25.
The arrested have been identified as Farooq of Guruvayanakere, Prasanna of Panejal, Yakub of Belal, Sudhakar Shetty of Govindoor and Rohit of Jarigebail.
Rs 1,03,370 is confiscated from the arrested and a case is registered. Four people are absconding and police are on the search for them.
