Bengaluru: CM pays homage to slain soldiers on Kargil Divas

Bengaluru, Jul 26: Karnataka chief minister B S Yediyurappa on Sunday paid homage to slain soldiers to mark the observation of Kargil Divas.

The chief minister laid wreaths before the memorials of Kargil soldiers near Raj Bhavan in Bengaluru on Sunday.

In 1999, the Indian soldiers fought a war with Pakistan army for its misadventures inside the Indian borders, he said.

Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai and officers of the Sainik Welfare and Resettlement Department accompanied the chief minister.
