Udupi district details precautions taken for CET examinations

Udupi, Jul 29: "CET examinations will be held in the district on July 30 and July 31 from 11.30 am to 11.50 am and 2.30 pm to 3.50 pm in 10 examination centres. Over 3,915 students have registered for the exam which includes 1,854 boys and 2,061 girls,” stated deputy director of PU Education Department, Bhagavanta Kattimani in a press release.

“Students are asked to be at the examination centres at 9 am for a medical test. Out of 10 examination centres, two are in Karkala, five in Udupi and three in Kundapur. A special room is opened in every examination centre for those with coronavirus like symptoms," he said.

"Covid positive students will be allowed to appear for the examination on the same day. They will have to write the exam in a separate covid centre arranged in the three taluks. The centres are opened in Samaja Kalyan Vasati Nilaya in Karkala, Samaja Kalyana Nilaya in Udupi and Devaraj Urs Vasati Nilaya in Kundapur. An additional centre is opened for girls in Government Women’s PU College, Udupi," Kattimani said.

"Disinfectants are sprayed and desks are already cleaned in all the rooms. Medical staff will examine the students by thermal scanning, get their hands washed by soap and get them to wear masks before allowing them in the rooms," said Bhagavanta Kattimani in the press release.
