Bengaluru: CM inaugurates KEONICS building for incubation/warehousing, start-ups

Bengaluru, Jul 31: Chief minister B S Yediyurappa inaugurated the new building of the state-owned Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation Limited (KEONICS) for housing incubation, warehousing and start-ups in Bengaluru on Friday.

The chief minister was joined by the deputy chief minister Dr C N Ashwatha Narayan, who is also the minister for IT/BT, Science and Technology and Skill Development, KEONICS chairman Harikrishna Bantwal, KEONICS managing director T R Suresh, IT/BT department additional chief secretary Dr E V Ramana Reddy and others.

KEONICS was established in 1976 by the state government as an agency for providing IT and automation consultancy services besides helping the companies in IT/BT sectors in networking, software development, web solutions, data warehousing and other solutions.



The company has actively involved in establishing IT Parks in the tier - 2 cities in the state such as Hubballi, Kalaburagi, Belagavi, Mysuru, Shivamogga and Mangaluru.
