Udupi: UPPA Photography Contest - Sept 10 Last Date to Send Entries

Udupi, Aug 28: A state-level photography competition titled 'Spirit of Sri Krishna Janmashtami' will be held as part of Sri Krishna Jayanti by Udupi Press Photographers’ Association (UPPA) in association with
Shiroor Mutt.
The pictures should depict the celebration held on September 1 and 2. The first prize winner will carry home Rs 8,000, while the second and third prize winners will be awardded Rs 4,000 and Rs 2,000,
respectively. Apart from main winners, four will be awarded consolation prizes that carried Rs 1,000 each.
The panel of juries will comprise Gurudath Kamath, Astro Mohan, photographer of Kannada daily Udayavani, Krishna Mutt dewan Latavya Acharya, photographers Janardhan Kodavoor and Hemanath Padubidri, photojournalist of Daijiworld.com.
The salon calendar closes on September 10 and judging will be done on September 12 with result announcement on September 13. The exhibition of photos will be held from September 15 to 20.
Each entrant may submit a maximum of four entries in one section. The maximum size of colour prints should be in 12 x 18 inch and all prints should be unmounted. Further each entry should bear title, name and address of the entrant. with each entries accompanied by a filled in entry form.
All entries must be entirely the work of the entrant and that the jury's decision will be final. Unless otherwise specified the competition committee reserve the right to reproduce any of the entries in the catalogue or press without any payment.
The organizers will not accept any responsibility for loss or damage except, for those caused due to negligent handling at their hand. Stained and defaced prints will not be considered for selection.
Submission of entries implies acceptance of all conditions of the salon.
