Mangalore: Serial on Narayana Guru to be Filmed from Sept 15

Mangalore Aug 28: A serial 'Shree Narayana Darshanam' produced under Shree Narayana Guru Swami Creations and directed by Harish G Acharya will be shot from September 15.

Speaking to media persons on Saturday August 28 Harish said that the replica of house of  Shree Narayana Guru at Chemalandi village of Thirivunanthapuram has been created in Padushedde of Bondel as the crew found the location apt for shooting. The location replicates olden-day situation as it is rich in scenic beauty filled with lush greenery and water spot.

The serial is based on Babu Shiva Poojary’s novel and the director said that enough information throwing light on Narayana Guru's childhood has not yet been collected. He urged the public to share any information in this regard. Harish having experience of working on the sets of Malgudi Days informed that the actors of the serial too are expected to make a guest appearance.

Search is on for the actors including a six-month-old baby. The songs of the serial are penned by litterateurs like Dr Amrutha Someshwer, Dr Anusuya and N R K Vishwanath, Gururaj Hosakate and Harish Acharya. Senior cameraman Vasu will handle the shoot.

Ashok G Bondel and Harish G Acharya are the producers of the movie supervised by Gundappa. Bhaskar Acharya is the editor of the serial.
