St Joseph School , Belman Bids Farewell to Teacher Marcelline Saldanha

Udupi, Aug 29:  The staff and students of St Joseph Higher Primary School, Belman here bid farewell to senior teacher Marcelline Saldanha by holding a public felicitation programme at the school auditorium on Saturday August 28.

Saldanha was honoured by Fr Lawrence B D’Souza, parish priest of St Joseph Church.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the selfless service rendered by Saldanha towards the decade-old school is truly commendable. He also wished her a happy and healthy retired life. Headmistress Sr Monica offered a gold ring to Saldanha on behalf of the school.

Shailaja Hedge, education co-ordinator OF Belman zone, old student committee president Clavier D’Mello, old student (NRI) Dian D’Souza, Karkala taluk-aided education committee president V K Rao Nandalike, Suresh Tantri Belman and High School teacher Anitha Kripalini conveyed their best wishes to Saldanha.

School teacher Vincent Pinto welcomed the gathering. Juliana Moras, teacher, read the citation. Retired teacher Lilly D’Mello delivered the introductory address. Assistant teacher B Pundalika Marathe compered the programme. Teacher Lilly D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks.

Don Bosio’Convent head Sr Gracy, Church Maintenance Committee vice-president Sylvester D’Mello and St Joseph High School headmistress Renilda Pereira among others were present.

    Remembering those days of being her student from 5th to 7th for the subject History & Social Studies. Dear Marceline teacher I want to convey you my heartfelt thanksgivng acknowledgement for shaping our knowledge in Hystory and making the subjects more easier to remember.Certainly, our school and its present students will really going to mis you, your classic service that we had.
