Udupi, Sep 1: Samsakara Bharati, local unit organized various competitions for Gundi Bail Higher Primary School children to mark Srikrishna Janmashtami on Tuesday August 31.
Competitions included writing stories related to Krishna, writing the hundred names of Krishna and a quiz contest related to Krishna.
A prize distribution ceremony was held later. Entrepreneur Raghavendra Acharya was the chief guest. He gave away prizes to the winners and a spoke on various messages of Lord Krishna.
School headmistress Saraswathi Aithal presided over the programme. Parent-teacher Association’s president Jyoti Muralidhar, Samskara Bharati member Shashikant Shivattaya and Karthik were present.
Samsakar Bharati convenor Vasudev Bhat welcomed the gathering and compered the programme.
