Kundapur: Bike Rider Killed in Accident

Kundapur, Sep 1: In an accident that occurred between a truck and a motor bike at Koni village near here on state highway on Tuesday August 31, a bike rider lost his life. Reportedly, the truck which came from a connecting road, hit the motor bike moving on the main road at the point where the two roads meet.

The victim has been identified as Parameshwar Achar (45), a resident of Chowlikere near Barkur. Subrahmanya Achar, a relative of Parameshwar, who was riding in the pillion, was admitted into Manipal Hospital with grievous injuries.

A complaint has been field in the local police station in this connection.

Parameshwar Achar is survived by two daughters. His wife had passed away a few years back. He was running a furniture shop in Koni in partnership with Subrahmanya Achar, it is gathered.
