Mangalore: Railways to Run Special Trains During Festival Season

Mangalore, Sep 2: The Southern Railway has informed through a press release, that it will be running the following special trains to clear rush of passengers during the festival season.

1. Chennai Central – Mangalore Central Special (via. Coimbatore) & Mangalore Central – Chennai Central Special (via. Podanur): T.No.0625 Chennai Central – Mangalore Central Special will leave Chennai Central at 20.35 hrs on 13.10.2010 and will arrive at Mangalore Central at 13.30 hrs the next day. T.No.0626 Mangalore Central – Chennai Central Special will leave Mangalore Central at 17.25 hrs. on 14.10.2010 and arrive Chennai Central at 10.00 hrs the next day. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 1 AC 3-tier, 8 Sleeper Class, 4 general second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Palakkad, Shoranur, Kuttipuram, Tirur, Kozhikkode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad and Kasaragod. T.No.0625 will stop at Coimbatore also. T.No.0626 will stop at Podanur & Perambur also.
 
2. Chennai Central – Kollam Superfast Special (via. Coimbatore) & Kollam – Chennai Central Special (via. Podanur) : T.No.0633 Chennai  Central – Kollam Superfast Special will leave Chennai Central at 20.35 hrs. on 15.10.2010 and arrive Kollam at 11.45 hrs. the next day. T.No.0634 Kollam – Chennai Central Special will leave Kollam at 11.30 hrs. on 17.10.2010 and arrive Chennai Central at 03.30 hrs. the next day. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 1 AC 3-tier, 8 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Palakkad, Thrisur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Chenganaseri, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Mavelikara and Kayankulam. T.No.0633 will stop at Coimbatore also. T.No.0634 will stop at Podanur & Perambur also.
 
3. Chennai Central – Kollam Superfast Special & Kollam – Chennai Central Special : T.No.0649 Chennai  Central – Kollam Superfast  Special will leave Chennai Central at 23.05 hrs. on 13.10.2010 and arrive Kollam at 14.15 hrs. the next day. T.No.0650 Kollam – Chennai Central Special will leave Kollam at 16.20 hrs. on 14.10.2010 and arrive Chennai Central at 08.30 hrs. the next day. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 1 AC 3-tier, 8 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class and  2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Podanur, Palakkad, Thrisur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Chenganaseri, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Mavelikara and Kayankulam. T.No.0650 will stop at Perambur also.
 
 
4. Coimbatore – Chennai Central – Coimbatore Superfast Specials: T.No.0643 Coimbatore – Chennai Central Superfast Special will leave Coimbatore at 23.55 hrs. on 12.10.2010 and arrive Chennai Central at 08.15 hrs. the next day. T.No.0644 Chennai Central – Coimbatore Superfast Special will leave Chennai Central at 22.30 hrs. on 13.10.2010 and arrive Coimbatore at 06.50 hrs. the next day. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 13 Sleeper Class, 2 General Second Class and       2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains will stop at Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi and Arakkonam. T.No.0643 will stop at  Perambur also. T.No.0644 will stop at Coimbatore North also.

The release said that advance reservations for these trains will be available from Thursday September 2 onwards.
