Mangalore: Golden Jubilee Mosaru Kudike at Tokkottu

Mangalore, Sep 3: The 50th annual Mosaru Kudike festival of Jai Veeramaruti Vyayama Shale Trust, Bhatnagara, Tokkottu near here, was organized on Thursday September 2. The highlights of the festival were numerous religious and cultural programmes, culminating in the enthusiastic ‘Mosaru Kudike’ on Thursday evening.

The organization has earned the love and affection of the people because of various social service activities it has been undertaking since its beginning.  Tug-of-war and Kasargod, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district-level Kabaddi tournament for women, drew large crowds. On the occasion of the golden jubilee, a procession was taken out under the leadership of the Trust chief convener, Chandrahasa Ullal and others. Attractive and colourful tableaux added glitter to the procession. A cultural programme, ‘Tulunada Siri’ interspersed with dances and comedy, was also presented.

At the meeting programme organized on Thursday evening, minister, Krishna J Palemar, released a souvenir brought out on the occasion of golden jubilee. Dr D Veerendra Heggade, dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala, delivered benedictory address. MP, Nalin Kumar Kateel, was present.
