Mangaluru: Dumpyard-turned-garden inaugurated at Akash Bhavan

Mangaluru, Jun 28: A garbage dump yard was completely transformed into a garden at Akash Bhavan with the help of local corporator, Gayathri A Rao and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) of Bajrang Dal Parashuram branch.

Gayathri along with district convenor VHP Bajrang Dal Puneeth Attavar inaugurated the garden at Akash Bhavan on Monday June 28.

Gayathri said, “For several years, the residents of Akash Bhavan were disposing of garbage here. Despite installing a warning banner, garbage disposal never ceased. The locals along with the VHP Bajrang Dal Parashuram branch took the initiative to set up a garden at the spot. During the lockdown period, the youth worked relentlessly to set this garden up which will be a model to others. I thank all the youth who have worked behind this project.”

District convenor of VHP Bajrang Dal Puneeth Attavar said, “This is a wonderful initiative taken by VHP Bajrang Dal Akash Bhavan area where youth transformed a garbage dump yard into a beautiful garden. This will be a model for others as well.”

VHP Bajrang Dal Kavoor area convenor Ajith, Chandrakanth, Dilip, VHP president Akash Bhavan Narayan, convenor Chethan, Sathvin, Suhan, Madhuraj, Yashwanth, Santhosh, Manikanta and others were present.
