Karkala, Oct 14: A lineman met a tragic death after the electric pole on which he was working, snapped at the base and fell down, on Wednesday October 13.
The lineman in question, Prasanna Bhat (30), a native of Mala village, who was looking after power supply to Bajagoly region, had gone up an electric pole located near Koodabettu in Mala for setting right some fault. When he was engaged in repair works, the pole broke at the base and fell down, causing his death.
