Chikmagalur: Sri Rama Sene’s Annual Datta Puja at District Treasury?

Daijiworld Media Network – Chikmagalur (SP)

Chikmagalur, Oct 14: The state government as well as the district administration have a new problem to handle with, as Sri Ram Sene has taken a new stand on its annual Datta Mala Abhiyan.

The Sene had petitioned the district administration, asking it to install the Datta Paduke (footwear) presently deposited in the district treasury, at the Datta Peetha in Baba Budangiri where the Datta cave is located, before October 6. The district administration is as yet undecided on the issue, as the cave that had suffered landslide in the past, is yet to be repaired.

Sri Rama Sene has now announced that it will conduct oblation, puja etc., relating to the Datta Mala Abhiyan at the district treasury itself, where the Paduke lies, from October 18 to 22.

It may be recalled that Bajrang Dal, Vishwa Hindu Parishat and Sri Rama Sene have been fighting for conducting early repairs for the Datta cave. However, controversies and  litigations have thwarted the proposed repairs.

The leaders of Sri Rama Sene are set to hold talks in this connection with the district administration on Friday October 15.
