Mangalore: Scattered Rainfall Ends Dry Spell, More Rains Predicted

Mangalore, Oct 15: Widespread rainfall that was not intense, was reported from all over the twin-districts of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada on Thursday October 14.

Udupi district in particular, received good rains on the evening of Thursday. Four persons, Kamala, Rashmi, Prakriti and Prajwal, were injured after lightning struck their house in Dulli in Someshwar near Hebri. They were admitted into a private hospital in Hebri. Their house suffered damages to the extent of Rs 50,000.

Light rains followed by drizzle were experienced in most parts of Dakshina Kannada district. Thick clouds gathered over the entire Karnataka Coast by evening.

The meteorological department has warned of heavy rains that might exceed 65 mm, during the next two days in the coast.
