Mangalore, Oct 15: Xavier Industrial Training Centre, the technical unit of city-based Xavier Educational Trust, celebrated ‘Ayudha Puja’ here on Friday October 15. 

Fr Vincent D’Souza, parish priest, Our Lady of Mercy Church, Panir, conducted a prayer service and blessed the institute and all the equipment on the premises. 

Trust chairman J J V Fernandes welcomed the gathering. He appreciated the upkeep of the premises, discipline of the students, and the good work being done by the principal and the staff. 

The student council was inaugurated and the oath-taking ceremony was held on the occasion. Gilbert D’Souza, director, Souza Enterprises, was the chief guest, who presented badges to the elected representatives.  

Trust secretary F M Lobo proposed the vote of thanks and praised the discipline and orderliness of the students and wished them well. 

Institute principal Sudhir Raj Kotian was also present on the occasion.
