M’lore: Voluntary Blood Donation Camp Held at Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College

Mangalore, Jan 30: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College organized a voluntary blood donation camp on at the inpatient department of college campus, Deralakatte on Saturday January 29.

Principal, Dr Srinath Rao welcomed the gathering and appreciated the work done by the NSS unit. Dr Niranjan, associate professor, department of Pathology, FMMC who was the team leader of blood bank team briefed the gathering about the need of blood donation, donors and present status of blood banks in today’s world.

Administrator of the college Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza delivered a meaningful message and emphasized on sacrifice and joy of giving to the needy. Dr N C Dhole, NSS programme officer proposed the vote of thanks.
 
In all 58 volunteers donated blood in the camp. NSS unit of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College regularly organizes such camps to create awareness about blood donation among medical students and helping the society through these activities.
