Its really a good initiative...But at the same time, its also necessary to honour the spouse of the disabled who have sacrificed their life to them. Everywhere we have just heard of felicitating the disabled, but have we ever thought about the pain and sacrifice of their parents and the people who take care of them?? It would be more appreciated if Daijiworld takes another step in initiating this. Thank you

By introducing the Swabhiman Awards, DW Weekly is true to its spirit of making all feel as One family, irrespective of caste, creed, religion. DW weekly's initiative as stated by Mr.Hemacharya is worth every applause n commendation.
In our world, where we have forgotten to respect the sanctity of life, wherein towards the physically disabled, with some who tend to show only outward sympathy, DW Weekly's thoughtful, unbiased and considerate effort to reward such exceptional people, deserves applause.
    Welldone !

Also, being an avid reader of the magazine, recently, it is indeed notable that every issue, will have an article related to the accomplishments of an extraordinary person. And more so, even other articles in the magazine, are worth reading.Whether its news from your neighborhood in udupi or thousand miles away in USA, its all there.
And being the only English Daily in Coastal Karnataka (however with a diversified and international audience), its a feat- well deserved and acheived.
    Keep up the good work.

Dear Sirs, This is a very good initiative among your many good works
and is deeply appreciated. The first person that comes to my mind whose admirer I have been since long is an extraordinary person who has used all his inner resources to pick himself up and move forward, in the absence of firm support, after loosing his left hand and more in a tragic train accident a few years ago. In fact 'DAIJIWORLD' has on several occasions carried his doings. He should be considered duely for this award. Today he is doing tremendous work for humanity and even driving a jeep to travel to places. He is none other than Rev.Fr.IVAN MADTHA. who is lodged at Vianny Home out side Fr,Muller's
Kankanady. Let not the fact that he is a priest of the Diocese of Mangalore reduce his qualification for this award which he more than deserves for his continued work. I am certain many people will be glad and wish him all the BEST!!!
I earnestly request your consideration.Thank You.
