Ballary, Aug 22: Karnataka Regional Service of Communion (KRSC) constituted Diocesan Service of Communion (DSC) of diocese of Ballary.
KRSC coordinator Cherian Rampuram, KRSC secretary Thomas Chinnappa, National Service of Communion (NSC) member Mahime Raj and KRSC spiritual director Fr Franklin D'Souza were the part of the constitution team.
The programme began on Friday, August 19 at 5:30 pm and leaders from all around diocese of Ballary gathered at Ballary Arogya Mathe Shrine, Ballary. Spiritual director Fr Cyril Lasrado welcomed the KRSC members as well as participants. Shrine rector Fr Jose Prakash was present.
At 6pm O Vincent, vicar general offered inaugural Holy Eucharist. Then there was rosary and self introduction.
On Saturday, August 20 three talks on Life in the Spirit (LSS), also sessions on CCR, Servant leadership and importance of prayer groups in the Parish and Deanery led by Cherian Rampuram Mahime Raj and Thomas Chinnappa. At 6pm Fr Sunil director of Communication diocese of Bellary celebrated Holy Eucharist. Then adoration was led by Mahime Raj.
On August 21 Dr Henry D'Souza, bishop of diocese of Ballary celebrated Holy Eucharist at 7am. After the breakfast Mahime explained the CHARIS and its Statues. Then there was workshop led by Thomas Chinnappa. Election process started at 12pm in the presence of KRSC spiritual director Fr Franklin D'Souza. Thomas Chinnappa led the election. There were eighteen members consented to take up the leadership.
Fr Franklin D'Souza, Fr Jose Prakash, Fr Cyril Lasrado, NSC member Mahime Raj and Thomas Chinnappa were the part of discerning team. Seven leaders were selected by discernment process. Later seven members elected a coordinator and a secretary from the team of seven.

At 2:45 pm KRSC spiritual director Fr Franklin D'Souza led the oath taking ceremony together with Fr Cyril Lasrado and Fr Jose Prakash. Then the anointing session was led by Fr Franklin D'Souza. All the three priests prayed for all the participants by laying of the hands.
On behalf of KRSC Thomas Chinnappa thanked bishop of diocese of Bellary and spiritual director and all the participants. He congratulated the new team on behalf of the KRSC. He specially thanked KRSC member Manuel Abhishek for his committment in organising the programme together with the spiritual director.
Spiritual director Fr Cyril Lasrado thanked everyone who helped to conduct the ever first constitution of diocese of Bellary.
