Mangaluru: Customer meet of Mangalore Catholic Co-operative Bank Ltd held

Mangaluru, Aug 28: The customer meet of Mangalore Catholic Co-operative Bank Ltd, (MCC Bank Ltd) Founders branch, was organized at II Floor, PFX Saldanha memorial hall here on Sunday, August 28.

Chairman of the bank Anil Lobo presided over the meet.

The meet was formally inaugurated by Fr Bonaventure Nazareth, parish priest of Our Lady of Miracle Church, Milagres, Mangaluru. Addoor Harischandra Achar, business entrepreneur, Walter David Monteiro, partner, Cila Advertisers, were the guests of honor.


The programme started with a prayer song led by staff of the bank. Fr Bonaventure Nazareth, highlighted the importance of light and said the bank has completed 110 successful years and congratulated all the staff. He advised them to maintain a good customer relation.

Addoor Harishchandra Acharya said that the staff of the founder’s branch have been offering good customer service to all the communities without bias which, he said, was very important for the growth of the bank. He requested all the customers to give their support to the bank.

Walter David Monteiro said, "MCC Bank is the first among the co-operative banks and the e-stamp facility in the branch is very fast." He requested the management to extpand the branches throughout Karnataka and all over India.

As a part of customer meet, an open session was held to give suggestions, opinion and also express grievances. Customers actively took part in this interactive session and gave their valuable suggestions.

Chairman Anil Lobo, in his presidential speech, said that the main intention of the customer meet was to know the problems of the customers and resolve the issues. The bank has made a good profit of Rs 8.27 crore with a net NPA of 1.60%. He said that the staff were given proper training in the premises of the bank to give better service to the customers.

Directors Dr Gerald Pinto, Anil Patrao, J P Rodrigues, David D'Souza, Roshan D'Souza, Dr Freeda F D'Souza, Irene Rebello, professional directors Sushanth Saldanha, member of the board of management Sharmila D Menezes, Alwyn P Monteiro, general manager Sunil Menezes and deputy general manager Raj Menezes were also present.

General manager Sunil Menezes explained the importance of the customer meet. Branch support director Harold Monteiro welcomed the gathering. Founders branch manager Blanche Fernandes proposed a vote of thanks. Roshan Crasta, Paldane compered.

Employees of MCC Bank Founders branch, accountant Johnson D'Souza, senior assistant Eleen Priya Pinto, junior assistant Shainy D'Souza, Wilson D'Costa, attender Melvin D'Souza were actively involved with the conduction of the meet.
