M'lore: University to Support Setting up of Women's Section in Badriya College

Mangalore, Jan 21: The platinum jubilee of Badriya College was celebrated in the premises of the college on Tuesday January 20.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof K M Kaveriappa, vice-chancellor, Mangalore University, assured that the university will extend support to the efforts of the college to start separate women’s section in the college.
Desire and jealousy are increasingly encroaching upon the space once occupied by love and sympathy in the society. Under these circumstances, value-based education must be imparted to the students along with regular academic activities at a tender age to improve the situation, Kaveriappa felt.
C M Abdulla Musliar and Muhammad Kunhi Musliar, Badriya Jumma Masjid, hoisted the flag and delivered benedictory speeches on the occasion.
B Ahmad Haji Moidin, president, Association of Muslim Educational Institutions, presided over the function.
Yenepoya Abdulla Kunni, chancellor, Yenepoya University, B A Moidin, former district in-charge minister, Prof M Abdul Rahiman, retired chancellor, Kannur University, P Shivashankar, chief executive officer, DK zilla panchayat and Kodandaram, block education officer, congratulated the management of the college for the success of the institution.
Dr N Ismail, principal, Badriya College welcomed the gathering. Shobha N compered the programme. S Moidin Kuhni, students welfare officer, proposed vote of thanks.
Prof P C M Kunhi, convener of the college, V Ibrahim Haji, secretary, Y Muhammad Kunhi, treasurer, C Muhammad, vice-president, S M Rashid and Rahmat Ali, joint secretaries, were present.
