Bantwal: Attempt to steal rods folied, thieves flee leaving car behind

Bantwal, Feb 23: An incident occurred in Kallada where two individuals attempted to steal iron rods that were being used for construction work on the Kalladka National Highway-75. The assets related to the construction work were kept on the road and on the night of Thursday, February 22, the two unidentified persons arrived in a Maruti Alto car to steal the rods. However, KNR Construction Company, who was on patrol in the area, noticed their suspicious activity and approached the car. As a result, the unknown persons fled the scene, leaving the car and the rods behind.

Nandakumar R, who works for KNR Construction Ltd. in Biroad, filed a complaint with the police. The stolen car and the rods were seized by the police. The approximate value of the rods that the two individuals attempted to steal was Rs. 5000. A case was registered against the two strangers who attempted to steal the rods.
