Mangaluru, Apr 13: "All the aspirants for the ticket from the Mangaluru constituency have come together to support the BJP candidate in the forthcoming assembly elections. It is a message that we are like-minded and will work unitedly for the victory of Sathish Kumpala and take the constituency into the BJP's fold," said MLC Prathap Simha Nayak.

He was addressing the media persons here on Thursday, April 13.

"This time, the people in the constituency will vote for the BJP on the basis of development. The BJP will win all eight constituencies in the district. People will vote for the BJP because of the lack of development work by the sitting MLA. Though being an MLA and minister several times, he has failed in developing the constituency. People are totally disappointed and fed up with MLA," Simha said.

He also questioned the sitting MLA's contribution to Mangaluru constituency in spite of becoming MLA and minister. “Though he was the housing minister, he could complete the housing projects in his own constituency. Totally, he has failed in the administration,” he said.

He also added that the BJP has given importance by fielding new faces in the fray without giving importance to the dynastic rule.

Candidate for the Mangalore Constituency Sathish Kumpala said that he is a common party worker from the party.

"I have worked for the party for several years. The party has given me the opportunity to become representative in various local bodies. I am really thankful to the party for providing me this opportunity. If the people give me opportunity, I will sincerely work for the harmony and development of the constituency," he said.

Chandrahas Pandith House and Santhosh Kumar Rai Boliyar also spoke.

Jagadish Shenava, Chandrashekar Uchil, Chandrahas Ullal, Yashwanth Amin and others were present.
