Mangaluru: CM Bommai visit – Traffic policeman hit by tempo, seriously injured

Mangaluru, Apr 13: A constable attached to Kankanady traffic police station, who was on patrolling duty on the wake of chief minister (CM) Basavaraj Bommai’s visit to Someshwar temple at Ullal, was seriously injured as he was hit by a tempo at Adamkudru.

Manjunatha Hegade is the policeman, who is seriously injured. He was controlling the vehicle movement on NH 66 in the wake of CM’s visit. During this time a tempo that was going towards Talapady hit him as the driver lost the control. The constable who received injuries on head and hands was admitted to Indiana Hospital.
