Kundapur, Apr 13: Kiran Kumar Kodgi, the BJP candidate of Kundapur constituency submitted his nomination to election officer Rashmi at the office of election officer in the city on Thursday.
Speaking to the media, Kodgi said, “The constituency has a complementary situation for BJP. The influence of MLA Halady Srinivasa Shetty is also there. He voluntarily withdrew from contesting. So the party has given the ticket to me. I have worked actively in the previous elections. I know the constituency thoroughly. Voters of Kundapur will back me.”
Shankara Ankadakatte, president of Kundapur Mandala, former president Suresh Shetty Kadoor and eminent leaders of the party were present. Tahsildar Shobhalaxmi was also present.
