Mangaluru, Apr 15: "If the Congress forms the government, we will not allow the merger of Nandini brand with that of Amul," said MLA U T Khader.

Addressing press persons at the Congress Bhavan here on Saturday, April 15, he said, "The KMF is the pride of the coastal region. The BJP has put farmers of the state into problem. If the Nandini brand is merged with that of Amul it will affect the livelihood of farmers. All the economical sources are flowing into Gujarat. Banks which were under loss have been merged with those that were making profits. The BSNL staff is not getting their salary on time. The union government is in favour of private enterprise," Khader said.

He alleged that the BJP government at the Centre is destroying government institutions. He said, “There is no development programme for dairy farming. There are no doctors in the animal husbandry department. The government has failed to recruit staff for the Animal Husbandry Department. The government is not concerned about the animals.”
