Udupi, Apr 16: Santhosh Cornelio Santhekatte Kalyanpur has been elected unopposed as the new president of the Udupi Region's Catholic Sabha for the year 2023-24.
The election of office bearers, conducted by former President Alvin Quadras as returning officer, took place on Sunday, April 16 at the association's office.
Monsignor Ferdinand Gonsalves (spiritual director), Mary D'Souza Udyavara (immediate past president), Olivia D'Mello Karkala (secretary), and Gerald Rodrigues Shirva (treasurer) were among those elected.
Other office-bearers include Ronald D'Almeida Udyavar (president-designate), Solomon Alvaris Karkala (vice-president), Sevrin D'Souza Shirva (joint secretary), Leslie Cornelio Udupa (joint treasurer), and Grevin Prasanna Kundapura (internal auditor).
After the election, a conferment program for the office bearers was held.
