Bantwal, Apr 17: Former minister B Ramanath Rai announced that he will file his nomination for the Bantwal Vidhan Sabha constituency on April 20. He made this announcement during a news conference held at the Bantwal election campaign office on April 17, where he urged party activists and well-wishers to come out in large numbers and bless him.

Rai also provided details of the procession, which will start at 9 am on Thursday from the Tirumala Venkataramana temple and proceed to the election office at the Mini Vidhan Soudha, where he will file his nomination at 12:35 pm.

During the conference, Rai highlighted his past achievements, stating that most of the buildings in Bantwal taluk centre and B C Road were constructed during his tenure as minister. He also pledged to complete any incomplete projects initiated during his previous term.

Several members of the KPCC, including Pius L Rodrigues and Chandraprakash Shetty, as well as Bantwal block Congress president Baby Kunder, Panemangalore block Congress president Sudeep Kumar Shetty, campaign committee president Umesh Safalya, Padmashekar Jain, Suresh B, ladies block president Jayanti Poojary, and municipal council members Vasu Poojary and Siddik were present at the event.
