Bantwal: SDPI candidate Ilyas Mohammed Tumbe files nomination

Bantwal, April 17: SDPI candidate Ilyas Mohammed Tumbe filed his nomination papers for the elections from Bantwal after taking out a mass procession by foot.

SDPI Bantwal national election observer V M Faizul released the party manifesto. He said that the people need to teach a lesson to the BJP, Congress and the JD(S) that have caused instability in the state.

Ullal SDPI candidate Riaz Farangipete said that he is confident that people who are tired of the discrimination of two parties that ruled in the past will elect SDPI as an alternative.

Ilyas Tumbe said that SDPI is prepared to clean the dirt accumulated due to politics in Bantwal.  “I am filing my nomination with all of your blessings. I will serve you whether I win or lose,” he said.

SDPI state committee member advocate Majid Khan requested the citizens to elect Ilyas Tumbe to make Bantwal a model taluk in the state. The procession was set in motion after the release of the manifesto.

SDPI state leaders Akbar Ali Ponnodi, state committee member and Bantwal municipal council member Zeenath Bantwal, Shahida, Nasriya, district chief secretary Anwar Sadat, district secretary Shakir Alakemajalu, district committee members Ashraf Addoor, Yousuf Aladka, Shahida Tasneem, SDPI Bantwal president Munish Ali, SDPI Bantwal election in-charge Shahul S H, party block secretary Kalandar Partipady, block vice-president Anwar Badakabail, block committee member Zahana, SDPI Belthangadi vice-president Hanif Punjalkatte, SDPI leader Iqbal I M R, Bantwal municipal council members Idris P J, Shamshad Goodinabali, Sanjipamunnoor grama panchayat president Shabina Nandavar and others were present.
