Udupi, Apr 18: Udupi constituency's BJP candidate, Yashpal Suvarna, will file his nomination on April 20. A rally will be held on the same day, starting from the Udupi district BJP office to Udupi Taluk office, with more than 15,000 party workers expected to participate.

During a press conference in Udupi, Yashpal said that the development work carried out by the Modi government at the central level, as well as by the Yediyurappa government at the state level, and the work done by MLA Raghupati Bhat in Udupi, were blessings for him to contest in this election. State and national level leaders will accompany him during the nomination filing.

"Both SDPI and Congress are two faces of the same coin. People are intelligent, and they will choose their candidate wisely. I am a simple party worker. The party has given me a ticket to contest from Udupi constituency. Earlier, I didn't concentrate on just one constituency, and I have worked on various occasions for the party," he added.

The occasion was attended by Udupi District BJP president Kuilady Suresh Nayak, Udupi MLA Raghupati Bhat, and other office bearers.
