Udupi, April 18: District election officer had appointed K P Dayanand, textile executive, handloom and textile department, zilla panchayat Udupi as the sector officer for Matapadi, Handadi, Kumragodu and Varamballi polling booths under 120 Udupi Vidhana Sabha constituency for Karnataka Vidhana Sabha elections 2023.
As K P Dayanand had not attended for sector officer duty and failed to provide explanation for the notice issued to him asking for the reasons, T H M Kumar, commissioner and director, textile development, department of handloom and textiles, disciplinary officer has suspended K P Dayanand from his services with immediate effect.
