Udupi: Hotel employee loses Rs 4.20 lac on online fraud

Udupi, Apr 19: A man, working in a hotel in the city, lost Rs 4.2 lac on online fraud.

Sandeep Kumar (32), received http://www.amblinfilmrating.com link on his telegram app from Amblin Entertainment company on April 4. He was asked to deposit money. When the complainant and victim did the same he got more money in return.

Believing the company to be true, the victim transferred Rs 62102 on April 7, Rs 80533 on April 8 and Rs 264706 on April 13 from his SB account with a private bank, Rajarajeshwarinagar branch to various accounts as suggested by the company.

In total, the victim lost Rs 420341. A case in this connection is filed in the CEN crime police station of the city.
