Bantwal, Apr 20: Five nominations were filed on the last day for filing nominations at the Bantwal Vidhan Sabha constituency, bringing the total number of nominations filed so far to eight.

Earlier, BJP's Rajesh Naik, SDPI's Ilyas Tumbe, and Majid had filed their nominations.

According to a press release from the election office, Congress candidate B Ramanath Rai, JDS's Prakash Rafael Gomes, AAP's Purushotham, Uttama Prjakiya Party candidate Anish Shetty, and independent candidate B T Kumar filed their nominations subsequently.
