Beltangady: Election officer checks DKS’ helicopter, verbal argument ensues with pilot

Beltangady, Apr 22: Verbal argument ensued between the pilot of a private helicopter and election officer as the officer urged to check the helicopter at Dharmasthala in the taluk.

The helicopter carried family members of D K Shivakumar to Dharmasthala. As the helicopter reached Dharmasthala, the election officer of the taluk went ahead to check the helicopter. Ramdas, pilot of the helicopter, said that it is a private helicopter and no one is allowed to check. A verbal argument ensued between the election officer and the pilot. However, the election officers did not budge and checked the helicopter thoroughly.

Usha, wife of D K Shivakumar, his son, daughter and daughter-in-law had arrived at Dharmasthala on the helicopter. D K Shivakumar is expected to join his family in a separate helicopter later.
